An interesting link from the dear old beeb about the efficacy of brain training. This is not the same as brain friendly learning but I always find it interesting to read about the brain.

I like the fact it talks about the importance of a control group in experimental studies and the dangers of research that sounds scientific but isn't very rigorous.
We had to do statistics for 3 years as part of our psychology degree which was horribly boring but has at least left me with the skills to be able to recognise dodgy research.
